Dog Handler and Walker
Dog Handler: We often need reliable dog handlers that can show off our dogs at adoption and other events. We also need helping walking our dogs Daily at our adoption center. We would love volunteers who want to take dogs on long walks or hikes so they don’t get bored while in our care. If you want to work on your dog training skills (as long as its positive reinforcement type of training) you are welcome to practice with our dogs. (Time Commitment: As Needed)
Transporter:If you have a car, a great way to help us is to drive dogs to and from the vet, to new fosters, or to and from adoption events, from the shelter and to our adoption center in Agoura Hills. We also need volunteers to be able to go to different shelters and check out animals for us that we may want to rescue. (Time Commitment: As Needed)
Our adoption center in Agoura Hills is home to 30 to 50 cats at one time. We need volunteers to not just help us clean, but to work with scared cats, play with them and socialize with them. It is a very important job that keeps out cats happy.
Do you have room for a four-legged guest? We are actively seeking volunteers to foster dogs and save them from the over-crowded shelters. Every dog we get out of the pound saves a dog from being put down.
You provide: a temporary place to crash, water, exercise, and love. You receive: food and supplies, veterinary care, any support and guidance you need, endless love from your foster pet, and the satisfaction of helping an animal in need
We are always in need of help in the fundraising department. If you would like to organize a fundraising event, we could use your help. Any and all ideas are welcome. Everything from a small event to something much larger. Let us know what your ideas are and we’ll see if we can make it happen!
Mobile Adoption Coordinator
We are looking for someone who would like to take on a leadership role as a mobile adoption coordinator. We would like to expand our mobile adoption events to more stores so that we can adopt out more animals, but in order to do that, we need more boots on the ground. We will teach you all the ins and outs of what a good applicant looks like and our protocols so that you can do adoptions every weekend. You must be able to commit to one weekend day each week as we would like to have a consistent schedule.
